Moreover to be 100% sure, we tried another roblox asset downloader that we saw on Google. Here we had an option to select the asset type, so we selected it as a hat, put the asset URL, and clicked on the download button.
This time, we got an unknown file format with some random text and numbers in its name. We downloaded that file. There was an instructions page that we followed on the site. They asked us to rename the file and put our desired file extension before using it as an asset in our roblox account. In the first asset downloader that we tried, it just gave us .PNG file without further instructions.
While the second one gave us a file, but without any extension we did try potential extensions on the file, but it didn’t work. Maybe we are missing something on the second source.
But as far as the .PNG file is concerned, why would one go to the roblox model stealer for downloading a single .PNG file for that asset? He can simply right-click and save image as png from the asset page itself.

Further, we learnt more about them, and we found that these asset downloaders are simply providing users with either .PNG file or a binary/octate-stream files.
